Chuck Drake

Board Member, Term ends June 30, 2024

Chuck and his family have been coming to Summit County for over 25 years, and three years ago purchased property in Frisco and live here full time. Chuck worked as a science and computer science teacher, administrator and coach in Prince William County Public Schools located in Northern Virginia for 38 years. The last 10 years of his career he and his wife Sharon built a statewide program where students in grades 5-14 built over 15,000 computers for families and donated them for free. He and Sharon enjoy skiing, biking, hiking and motorcycles.

Philip Mervis

Vice President, Term ends June 30, 2022

Having lived here locally for more than 20 years, Philip works in a full-time capacity as a Summit County realtor.  Philip has volunteered in a variety of capacities, usually focusing on assisting nonprofits with their technology needs.  In that regard, he has served as co-director of the Evo3 Foundation and otherwise helped a number of nonprofits with their online presence, including Adopt an Angel, Advocates for Victims of Assault and Education Foundation of the Summit.  Philip first became involved with the Senior Center in 2018 as a volunteer, assisting members with their individual computer/device issues and facilitating tech seminars.

Norb Chehak

Treasurer, Term ends June 30, 2022

Marty is originally from Littleton but has owned property in Frisco for more than 20 years. Her career primarily focused in telecommunications and healthcare consulting, although she and her husband had most recently owned a security company. She has held board positions with the Lupus Foundation of Colorado, CU EMBA Association and the SkiMeister organization. Her work with Summit Seniors includes projects at the Community Care Clinic and volunteering for the Winter Games and Holiday Home Tour.

Marc Schlesinger

Past President, Term ends June 30, 2022

Marc and his family have vacationed in Summit County for more than 30 years, and owned property in Silverthorne for 20. Originally from Chicago area, Marc and his wife Joelle moved to the county permanently in 2008. Marc was active in numerous medical staff positions, including Chief of Staff, and has served on boards for Illinois County and State Medical Societies, the Illinois delegation to the AMA, the non-profit board for a retirement community, and others. After a 29-year career as a general internist and hospitalist in Illinois, Marc spent his last 10 working years as a hospitalist at St. Anthony Summit Medical Center. He and Joelle enjoy skiing, cycling and golfing in Summit County as well as traveling.

Mickie Parsons

President, Term ends June 30, 2023

Mickie’s formative years were in upstate New York where she pursued a career in perioperative nursing.   Following a detour to Somalia with the peace Corps she moved with family to Colorado in 1969.  A Summit County condo became a play ground for family and friends and led to a permanent home in 2003.  Mickie’s career has included many leadership opportunities culminating in a role as a nationwide consultant.   She serves as a volunteer at multiple schools and is the community representative on the District Accountability Committee. She has become an active member at the Senior Center in a volunteer capacity and member of several committees. This has motivated her interest in participating at a higher level as a member of the Board.
